2010 SELECTION PROCESS

Irish Teams will attend the World Surfing Games and the European Junior Surfing Championships in 2010.

Eurojuniors

The European Junior Surfing Championships will take place in Viana Do Castelo, Portugal from the 7th to 16th May.

The Junior Team will be selected at two events, the C-Skins West Coast Junior Surfing Championships taking place in Lahinch on the 6/7 March and the Tramore Junior Surfing Championships taking place in Tramore on the 27/28 March.

In the event of unsuitable conditions (no surf or storm conditions) in Lahinch or Tramore, an ISA selection event will be run on the scheduled weekend at an alternative venue.

The Irish Junior Surf Team will include the following positions:-

World Surfing Games

The Billabong ISA World Surfing Games will take place at Punta Hermosa, Lima, Peru from the
21 to 29 of October 2010. The Irish Surf Team to compete at the World Surfing Games will be selected from best three results at the following events- Portrush Open 10/11 Apr, Cork Open 24/25 Apr and Co Sligo Open 31 July/ 1 Oct.

The Team will include

4 x Open Surf
2 x Women Surf
2 x Longboard
1 Manager
1 Coach
