 Blackfield Surf School
Blackfield Surf School operates on the fabulous location of Trawmore beach, a large southerly facing beach at Keel on Achill Island. Dramatically bound at one end by Minaun mountain, the beach is an ideal safe place for learning to surf and Blackfield Surf School concentrates on working with beginner/novice surfers to help them get up and riding as soon as possible! In summertime we run a kids only camp, aimed at 10-16 year olds (although younger kids may come if accompanied by a guardian) and we are fully equipped to run courses in the colder months as well. Run by Gerry Brannigan, Gerry has over twenty years surfing experience plus many years of beach lifeguarding all over Ireland including six summers on Trawmore beach itself.
