Fred Hemmings To Visit Ireland

The Irish Surfing Community is looking forward to welcoming Hawaii Waterman, Fred Hemmings to the North West in August. Hemmings was a prime mover in the establishment of professional surfing in the 1960s and 70s. The expert waterman was one of the most successful competitive surfers of all time winning the 1968 World Surfing Championships in Puerto Rico, along with many other prestigious titles.

He is schedule to give a seminar to surfers at the Sand House Hotel at 6pm on Sunday 22nd August following the presentation of awards at the Billabong Rossnowlagh Junior Championships, the final event of the 2010 Irish Junior Championships Tours.

All surfers welcome to attend.
