SUP Race Tour 2013
This year's ranking events are as follows:
1. Dublin Bay SUP Classic 2013 May 25/26th.
2. North/North West Event July/Aug????
3. Castlegregory Irish Championship Surf Tour event Oct 5/6th.
Categories
All 3 events will have the following ranking events that will comply with ISA Rules
12'6" SUP Class only:
1. Technical Race (2-7km) Ranking Category
2. Marathon Race (15 - 25km) Ranking Category
Tour Ranking
A National Champion in men's and ladies Technical and marathon divisions will be crowned at the Castlegregory event for 2013.
Selection for the ISA World SUP Championships will be a combined result from both technical and marathon rankings (should the Team composition change from 2012, the rankings will be used to determine and decide the qualifier.
Any Irish Junior SUP Teams will also be selected from overall tour results or results to date upon team selection. (Presently Juniors cannot compete for Ireland in Senior International competition, this is to be reviewed.)
A contestant's best two results will count towards their overall tour ranking. In the event of a tie, results from 3rd event will count. If a tour event is postponed and run on an alternative date it will no longer count towards tour rankings. If only two events are held a surfer's best two results will count towards final rankings, and if only one event is held then ranking will be decided on that one event.
