 Strandhill Surf FestivalThis year, with the support of Malin Waters, Co Sligo Surf Club will be celebrating surfing in the Ireland's north-west with a surf festival. The festival will incorporate a surfing contest (Billabong Co. Sligo Open), surfers' market, music, surf art and photography, beach yoga. The Co Sligo Open is one of the longest running surfing competitions in the country and this year it is the fourth competition on the Irish Champions Tour. Top surfers from all over the country will battle it out for precious tour points to decide national champions. The Surfers Market is at the heart of the festival. Co Sligo Surf Club has offered those involved in the surf industry, including artists, shapers, photographers etc, the opportunity to showcase their products and talents in the festival marquee at the event.
