Wet And Wild Water Women

The Irish Surfing Association will be hosting its annual women’s surfing weekend, Wet and Wild Water Women in Enniscrone, Co Sligo on the 6/7 June.

Wet and Wild Water Women is a surfing weekend that provides women with an opportunity to meet and share information and advice on surfing while introducing newcomers in an all female environment. The event brings women of all ages and surfing abilities together in a celebration of women’s surfing in Ireland.

Kicking off at Enniscrone beach at 11am until 6.00pm on Saturday 6th of June, there will be surfing lessons and coaching with surfboards, wetsuits and instructors provided. There will be a lunchtime beach barbecue on Saturday and social events in Gilroy’s bar on Friday and Saturday nights. Surfing will run from 11.00am until 4.00pm on Sunday. The event is free and participants do not need to book, just turn up and you will be catered for.

Wet and Wild Water Women is hosted under the Women in Sport Initiative run by the Irish Sports Council to encourage more Irish women to participate in sport. The weekend is also supported by the Irish Surfing Association’s title sponsor, Denny.
